An interview with Estate Manager Ali Greatorex
How did you come to work at Angle Vale Gardens?
I’ve had a pretty varied career in the legal/business sector. I was a personal assistant/para legal in the legal profession for 20 years, I was Executive Assistant in the horticultural/wine industry for 5 years, after which I managed small businesses in the building and construction industry for four years.
The experience I have gained from these roles has been invaluable in being able to relate to people from different backgrounds and manage an estate. I started working at Angle Vale Gardens in September 2013 and have been the Estate Manager since 2014. I’ve also recently completed my Certificate III in Aged Care.
What do you love about working at the Estate?
My favourite aspect of my role is communicating with remarkable people, enjoying their reminiscing and sharing their stories. I thrive on improving their happiness and lifestyle and seeing the positive impact this community has on their lives.
How do you spend your time when you’re not at the Estate?
My hobbies are enjoying time with my husband and teenage children and following their various sporting pursuits.
